Day 18 Grocery store to the rescue!

DAy 18

I am honestly tired of salad! Mind you I've been very plain on the ingredients so yesterday I went to the grocery store for some veggies and protein. Now I am a happy girl again. Here are some things that I picked up :Tomato, bell peppers, radishes...forgot some kale but next time!

For breakfast I had the berry yogurt drink it was delicious if you're a yogurt shake kind of person. It had bits of berries very nice consistency a nice change and it was gone pretty quick. I will admit I was hungry earlier that usual so if you're  a person who likes a big breakfast maybe have this for  a lunch or a snack. If you're a light breakfast person the perfect choice for you!

Lunch I had the veggie chili on top of my lettuce I would add more veggies to this next time. It reminded me of wendy's tex/mex salad with the chili on top. I would add peppers next time!

For super as you can see I had a colourful salad with red onion multi coloured peppers a little parsley pesto that I made last week on top of my chicken and I put radishes in the oven. If you've never had oven roasted radishes you're in for a treat!

Snack time was the butterscotch pudding. What a great snack it has a nice caramel flavour! I am really enjoying the puddings they really satisfy the night time snacker in me :)

Nadine's Oven Roasted Radishes
Oven at 400 degrees
Rinse trim ends and cut in half a bag of radishes
Add 1tbsp of olive oil mix and put in the over for 20 mins covered with foil.
Check and stir add 1tbsp of soya sauce and green onions cook for another 10-20 mins
depending on the size of your radishes.
Cooking them removes the bitter hot taste of the radish great winter dish!

If you have picked up radishes with the greens on top you can turn that into a pesto!
In blender add garlic onion and radish tops mix with 2 tbsp of olive oil and add lemon juice salt and pepper to taste. I add it to top of meat or add water it would be a nice salad dressing with added spices!
OK I love Radishes ( you don't hear that very often)

Let me know what you think of the recipe :)
Have a great day!
