soy puff peanut flavour the best! I also like to mix it up with the chocolate
Monday was a good day! Went for a walk all morning/afternoon. Enjoying the views of halifax! I've been looking into some of my old healthy cookbooks for inspiration on how my husband and I are going to be eating when I am off the protocol and into maintenance. We have been talking about getting a green house to grow our own veggies all year round next years plan!!! My husband has watched two documentaries lately one is hungry for change. He's gone a little preachy about it but at least I know we are on the same page SUGAR IS BAD! So now he understands why I would freak out when I would come home and he was eating a portion of a 12 pack of : croissants, danishes, donoughts etc. People love sugar because it causes a chemical reaction in their brain that's why you always want more. It also creates inflammation in the body and depletes the body of nutrients! We naturally want to replenish our deficiency in minerals and vitamins but we chose foods that are dead no benefits for the body. On that note I made my first green smoothie on sunday morning :)
Green smoothie: 2 cups of spinach , 1 head of romaine lettuce, Juice of 1/2 a lemon. 1 inch grated ginger, filtered water and blend!
Breakfast I had the crispy cereal
For lunch I had salmon sashimi and cooked cabbage and a small salad
For super I had a pork chop and sauteed mushrooms and spinach.
Snack I had a mix of peanut and chocolate soy puffs
Have a great day! Nadine |

ReplyDeleteHi Nadine:
ReplyDeleteThe Ecology Action Centre is offering a workshop sometime soon about how to build and use a year-round greenhouse. They have one at the Bloomfield Centre. You and your husband should check it out. Also there's a new book by a local author named Nikki Jabbour called "The Year-Round Vegetable Gardener". Have fun!
Thank you for the info Wendy! I will be looking into this!
