day 55 drink your water people!

4 bar buffet~
 I was very busy on monday so I did not have the opportunity to drink as much water as I wold have liked result yesterday morning my bladder felt unusual until the afternoon. So lesson learned people drink your water! On the ideal protein diet your peeing out ketones, toxins and calories woohoo! THis makes the urine very acidic so that is why it's recommended 10 ounces min of water a day. Don't skip the water it's not worth it. We are made of 90 % H2O our body thrive on it it helps alleviate headaches and make your muscles limber and help water retention. Who doesn't want that?


Breakfast was the warming maple oatmeal with a touch of cinnamon. It has a rich creamy texture that fills you up!


Lunch I had chicken and salad ......no IP food you ask well I was at cosco and got a pre-cooked chicken those chicken smell so good and are so delicious people crack a leg off on their way home from the store I am sure! I am not a big meat eater but this chicken turned me into a savage women who hasn't had food in a while. So I had my IP meal for supper.


Supper was a salad with steamed asparagus and a butterscotch pudding shake. Love this shake my next experiment is I am going to mix the dark chocolate and butterscotch together for 2 meals. I am thinking that might happen on friday for breakfast and lunch!


My snack I had the 4 bar buffet ( chocolate raspberry, double chocolate,  vanilla peanut butter and chocolate peanut butter). I know you've notice 2 restricted food in 1 day I new what I was doing this time but I had already dirtied my blender. I said no to sweets when I was at a lunch meeting I decided I was doing the bar buffet!


I have a date with the scale today .........

Day 54 I heart Ideal protein and the scale!

My title is something I never though I would write! Imagine I've done cleanses lost 10lbs and gained it right back so many time in the last 3 years. Ideal protein and my mind made up I have finally been able to see the scale go down in a major way! I don't want to jinx it because I am getting weight tomorrow but I think I am in the 30lbs loss area!!! Fingers crossed! I am wearing smaller jeans and they look hot!


Breakfast I had the plain omelet. It is filling and I like to roll it up and eat it with my hands sometimes!


Lunch I made the potato puree with a side of veggies: celery and pickles.


Supper I had nothing left in the fridge so I made a 5 egg omelet to share with my honey cauliflower mashed with olive oil and garlic and cooked radishes.


Snack time was a trio of vanilla peanut butter bar, cookies and cream bar and poppy seed bar. Delicious and filling with a chocolate chai tea perfection!

Day 53 Easy goal setting with ideal protein!

Well Day 53... it doesn't feel like I've been doing this program for that long! I feel great my inside and out! I've been more sensitive to my emotions and I am trying to give myself some understanding. As an emotional eater I did not deal with my feeling I would just stuff them down with the food but the emotions never get dealt with. I am very close to my first goal! I am very excited because this is the smallest I've been in my adult body. I know that once I start eating carbs again I will gain a little weight back so I want to be a little lower than that! I've been really trying to change things up with my ideal protein food!
I am having the plain omelet right now! I've been experimenting and trying things that I haven't eaten in a while or maybe just tried one time! I am still loving the shakes they are my newest favourite things! I am starting to miss my old food but honestly I am craving healthy ones like brown rice and lentils and just nuts peanut butter so I know I will not go too crazy once I am on  maintenance and that is why all the steps of the program are great to get you back in touch with how to eat for nutrition and not to gain weight!

Breakfast was the crispy cereal with a touch of cinnamon!

Lunch I had the spaghetti bolognese and a cauliflower and broccoli mash a recipe that I got from Stephanie RHN and Ideal protein coach. I put this in the blender but you might like to use a masher because it was a little like baby food but that texture reminds me of really buttery whipped potato!

Supper was yesterday's leftovers which was a stir fry and pork roast. I made a broth of soy sauce, garlic and ginger and 1 tsp of sesame oil and a little hot chili sauce brought it to a boil and heated the pork and veggies and served with a little of the broth! I added vermicelli noodles in my husbands bowl.

Snack was the chocolate drink shake style! I added an extra 20ml in a blender and blended I also added 4 ice cubes. This was a great alternative to heating up the chocolate drink! Texture was great and it made a tall glass very nice and keeps you full!

day 52 Wearing a size 10 pants!

Day 52 well it was an interesting day having mixed my lunch for breakfast..opps! I was still sleepy:D
Exciting news my girlfriend offered me some clothing that no longer fit her so I have a pair of size 10 dress pants!!!! Very exciting! I was a size 16 in January Awesome Results!


I had the crispy cereal for breakfast

lunch I had the pre-mixed potato puree heated which I  don't recommend trying it doesn't cook very well at all. I dipped my broccoli in it like a dip.

for super I made a stir fry with : green onion, mushrooms, red pepper, broccoli and sprouts. For my protein I had a portion of pork and a low fat sausage.

For my snack I cut 4 bars into pieces and packed the rest. I had the raspberry, double chocolate, peanut crunch and chocolate peanut bar. With a tea it was great!

Day 51 Ideal protein can make you feel SEXY!

With my title statement I truly believe feeling sexy is more in your head and how you feel about yourself than what other people see. When you feel sexy or happy with yourself people totally pick up on that vibe. I believe sexy isn't a dress size either. It could be painting your nails red, taking care of yourself by going to bed at an earlier time and the most important is self talk. Look into the mirror and be nice to yourself don't point out what you don't like! Appreciate the beautiful features that you have! Is it a great smile? If so show it to someone the results might astonish you! Taking care of yourself can definitely encourage you to feel sexy my goal for 2012 is to treat my body like a temple and Ideal protein has really helped me stick to that goal! No drink for me thank you very much!

 So I must have been still sleeping when I was making my breakfast I poured my lunch into a bowl instead of my breakfast. Potato puree anyone.........oh dear I had to try that again! LOL! I have had moments of temptation like just have 1 spoonful of peanut butter. But Still to no avail nothing will derail me off track except when I go on vacation next month and also go to a tea party. This will be my test of how insulin affects your body when you've been eating clean for over 50 days!

Breakfast I had the vanilla pudding as a shake! Man this is so good great flavour and it brings me right back of your mom giving you the metal spatula when she was making a vanilla cake.YUM! I add water into my mixer then the powder and 4 ice cubes blend until it's broken down and enjoy!

For lunch I had the chicken soup with veggies. I haven't had a soup in a while and it was so good. Filling warm and delicious.

Supper I had a steak with turnip fries. I start mowing on this and realised that I hadn't taken a picture. I had celery and 2 pieces of cucumber and 2 dill pickles and 1 cup of turnip fries.

For my snack it was perfect because I was watching a movie. Half a portion of salt and vinegar chips with 1/2  a portion of the peanut soy puffs. Delicious salty bitter and sweet a great combination I will do this again!

day 50!!!!! Wow

Day 50 I must says time goes by when you're loosing weight! Losing weight has always been a struggle for me and the last time I was this weight I was spending 2:30 hrs at the gym! Ideal Protein has really made this program with effectiveness. Just follow protocol and the weight will drop! I am really starting to mix things up because I am feeling not as creative with my meals or food selection. But it only takes a little inspiration and a trip to the grocery store. I also love peoples ideas so please comment with some suggestions!


Breakfast I had the go to crispy cereal with a touch of cinnamon.


Lunch I had a large salad with sprouts  romaine , yellow peppers and green onion. I added olive oil and salad spice and some salt. I heated up the chocolate drink to make it a hot chocolate. Remember to use a large glass when you're heating this drink up because it really rises and can overflow!


Supper was left overs from yesterday brussels sprouts with pork loin and I also had some cucumber celery and zucchini with a little salt! This kept me very full! 


For my snack I had a trio of bars( lemon poppy seed, cookies and cream, vanilla peanut). I have one more serving of this snack. I am going to try this again with a whole new bunch of bars to change it up!


I love walking and yoga and I feel like I have the energy but then something stressful happens and then I don't want to move so my goal is to really get to the source of the problem so I will meditate on this and really try to figure out what my resistance is all about. Sometimes I feel like a dual personality (I want to be healthy and enjoy movement with my body / I have all these reasons not to do this.........) What's really stopping me? This is a mental thing so I will let you know how this pans out! I've been studying NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) which you learn about communication but also self programming. So I will share some techniques on this blog that I will try out!

day 49 Mixing it up with salty and sweet!

Day 49 I am currently down 26.3 Lbs and down 16 inches so a lost 3 inches off my weight since I last measured! Woohoo! I must say I think I am getting bored of the snacks so I've been really trying to mix them up. I just don't know if i've been picking the same foods to much I have been trying to change them but when it comes to snack time I don't know if i want salty of sweet so I mix them up and I was happy with the results so feel free mixing up your foods. I also want to mention how much fun bath time has been for me. Image 26 lbs less in a bathtub! I can get a lot more water that stays in the tub I feel like I can swim in there!

Breakfast was crispy cereal fast delicious and nutritious do you know any other breakfast cereal that gives you 19 gm of protein? I've looked at many label I haven't found any yet!

For lunch I had a delicious romaine salad with yellow peppers, sprouts and green onion my dressing I mix 1/2 cup of olive oil with 1/2tsp of sesame with salt and salad spice in a container and I keep it at work. For my Ideal Protein lunch I heated up the chocolate drink. THis is a rich creamy beverage that has the perfect chocolate flavour. It's better than hot chocolate!

Supper I cooked a marinated pork loin with brussels sprouts. I've been purchasing my meat from Cosco and have been preparing them when I get home. So for 2 weeks I buy 3 packs of meat ! Pork loin and 1 ground beef and a cooked chicken which bring it to $36 plus tax for 2 people. The ground beef I added spices and shaped them into meat balls that made 27 balls and we cooked them and it made about 6 portions! The pork loin I separated by 3 peaces per ziplock bag I added 1 tsp of oil and spices like onion and garlic powder and oregano and parsley. Then I put them in the freezer to use at a later date 1 bag makes 4 portions for suppers!


My snack I separated the salt and vinegar chips in 2 servings and separated my peanut soy snack in 2 as well. I packaged them right away to not be tempted! I liked the variety of the salty and sweet! I had a chocolate chai tea with it!

Day 48 Keeping it on track!

What a great day for delicious food! I am still enjoying experimenting with the shakes my favourite so far was yesterday's butterscotch. I am going to have to try the vanilla again maybe tomorrow for breakfast!




I had the crispy cereal for breakfast with a little cinnamon. 


Lunch I had the milk chocolate pudding shake. It was rich and so creamy. I did find that it had a little molasses aftertaste so I am going to try the dark chocolate next week to see if there is a difference. I think it's because I water it down that the flavour changes.
I also had a large romaine salad with cucumber yellow pepper and sprouts!


Supper I had marinate tofu with soy sauce and a little sesame oil for 24 hrs. Cooked flat in a pyrex or cookie sheet at 450 degrees flip when it looking crispy. I cooked some winter veggies to go with it and topped it with soy sauce.


My snack was the southwest chips they are the large snack you can get with idea protein the bowl overflows! So if you like quantity these are a great snack that make you feel satisfied!


I have a date with the scale today!!!! My scale at home says that I am about 5.5 Lbs from my first goal but we'll see. I don't trust my scale honestly it's a balance scale.

Day 47 New Shake!

I am still experimenting with the shakes! I am enjoying these I am even going to have one for lunch! I am surprised that I am not bored or taring my hair out with this change with the food but I am truly enjoying everything. I love to cook so trying to be create with ideal protein this week has been really enjoyable. Ideal protein has made weight loss so easy!  


Breakfast was the butterscotch pudding shake so like I mention the technique yesterday : 120 ml of water in blender add powder and mix. Once it's blended I add 4 ice cubes and blend until smooth!
You get a very large glass of delicious caramel flavoured protein for breakfast, lunch or a snack!


Lunch I made the potato puree soup and added steamed broccoli and cauliflower!


For my super I had the left overs from yesterday which was veggies and meat balls with the ideal protein tomato basil soup as a sause. My veggies were shittake mushrooms. yellow and green bell pepper, and 2 zucchini. I also added a large romaine lettuce salad with a little sesame oil and salt.


Inspire by a fellow ideal protein lady Zarah. I've made myself a trio of bars as a snack and I packaged the other two snacks in containers. So you can see I had the poppy seed bar 1/3, peanut butter crunch 1/3, and the cookies and cream bar 1/3. I felt like I was at an english tea with the dessert tray! Delicious and fun!

day 46 the scale is still going down I am very close to my first goal!!!

I have now officially perfected the pudding shake!!!!


Here's the recipe 170 ml of water in your blender add powder mixture blend. Add 4 ice cubes blend until smooth. You will have a tall glass of bubbly delicious ice cream like flavour shake! THe vanilla flavour pudding taste like vanilla birthday cake! This will help add water to your day as well! This was my breakfast!


For lunch I had the chocolate drink and I heat these up make sure you use a large mug or glass because it does bubble up and over flow! THis is a rich better than hot chocolate texture and flavour. These are one of our most popular food at the Be Well Spa.


For supper I had italian meat balls and low fat sausages with mixed veggies and I added the tomato basil soup to the veggies. I sauteed all the meats first. Drained the pan of the oil and removed the meat. Then I sauteed all my veggies 3 portobello mushrooms, 2 zucchini, 1 tomato, 1 orange pepper and 1 green pepper. THen once my veggies had cooked I added the meat and sprinkled the soup mix over top. There was a lot of juice from the veggies so I didn't add any water. This dish serves 4 people and it was fantastic! I had 3 meatball and veggies for my meal and the soup flavour really made this dish special!


My snack was the peanut soy puff. THey are one of my favourite snacks and I can really eat the same foods all the time and not get sick of them!!!! I am going to try to get a couple of different bar and cut them up and package them to give myself a little variety pack. I'll be doing that next week!

day 45 Live your dreams and have chocolate shake for breakfast!

So I've been experimenting with the puddings and turning them into shakes! Let me tell you delicious! What a great way to start the morning or to have as a snack. If you're an ice cream person you are going to love these with 19 gm of protein and you're adding a little more water with the ice cubes to make a frothy shake. Amazing!

Breakfast was the chocolate pudding shake I added 20ml of extra water and 3 small ice cubes. I am going to try every flavour of pudding with this technique it is so good! Tomorrow vanilla and caramel later!!!

For lunch I had the broccoli and cheese soup with cooked spinach!

Supper I had a large salad with meatballs and cooked red cabbage!

Snack I had the white cheddar chips. THese chips are made of pea protein and they taste amazing they have a great crunch and the flavour makes people surround you with curiosity and they all want a taste!

Tomorrow I am going to make an experiment for super I am going to add the tomato soup mix with my meatballs! Check it out!!!

day 44! 6 weeks down 24.1 lbs losing weight is so easy with Ideal Protein!

Day 44 I must say losing weight has never been so easy for me! I just follow protocol and I lose weight! This morning I've been experimenting with pudding to create a shake you will hear more about this tomorrow! I am down 24.1 lbs this week and all my clothing are feeling great if not loose!


The Food!


Breakfast was the crispy cereal my favourite morning treat pour and eat! It's great if your a person on the go. Also if you are a person who eats cereal every morning this is a great start to your day!


Lunch I had chicken soup with cooked spinach. This was so great it kept me full and the spinach was wonderful mixed in the soup it was a perfect compliment!


Supper I had a peace of pork but to share is was a little small so I made a omelette and shared it. I sauteed the pork with mushrooms. The salad I put a light vinaigrette with olive oil! 


FOr my snack I had the peanut crunch bar then I went out for a lady's get together!
