crispy cereal my morning staple!

soup and veggies

salad

David's tea: fired up fennel!

salt and vinegar chips!

Day 34 was a great day! I was able to spend the day teaching my first official Reiki Level 1 Course.
Reiki is a japanese technique of healing. It is a wonderful technique that helps heal mind body and soul this opportunity was a true gift and it was a pleasure charing this beautiful method to help others!

During this journey of weight loss I find it very important to take care of myself even if it's just listening to what my body is saying. I am hungry? No I am bored or I'm tired. My body is rarely hungry when I would eat all the time! I would not question what my body was feeling I would use food the medicate whatever I was feeling. Bread is not the answer LOL! So this is an opportunity of discovering ask yourself: what do I really want? Is it reading a good book, finding peace and quiet? Dancing? Enjoying time with close friends? Journaling is a wonderful source of information about discovering yourself and about your needs. Get yourself a beautiful book that you love so you can express yourself by writing or drawing even both! My husband has a wonderful book called Art journals and creative healing!

On to the food

Breakfast was the crispy cereal with a touch of cinnamon. I love this as my breakfast I would probably have it for lunch too! It's crunchy and with the cinnamon it's a little sweet!

Lunch was the chicken soup which is rich and creamy perfect for a cold winter day with a side of veggies!

Super I had a large salad as my appetizer and a peace of pork and cooked radishes. I didn't fuss to mush with the spices on this because I was tired so the meal was just ok.

My snack was the vinegar and sea salt chips now I was never a S&V girl. Growing up I was a Doritoes kind of girl. I haven't eaten those for the last 5 years unless I am at a sub place and I am really hungry at the time. (HOnestly they don't taste as good without the trans fats LOL, and my taste buds have changed eating whole foods!) So never in my wildest dreams would I have though that my favourite chips would be the salt and vinegar but every week I pick one bag as my treat for the week.

I was cold in the evening so I made a David's Tea called fired up fennel It is a ayurvedic tea for kapha. It's hot and delicious and some people find it smells like pizza but I think they are reminded of italian sausages because the put fennel in their meat. It has hot peppers and woo it gives you some kick.

My goal is to have a few restricted food a week and more pudding for my snack. Now that I've taste the Vanilla pudding........I have a favourite makes my eyes roll and toes curl it's so delicious. You will be seeing more of that on this blog :D

Take care of yourself and have a great monday!
